Nordic baby essential checklist: my 5 baby must-have categories 1/4

People who love to eat are always the best people.

Something that I have tried to avoid doing is here. I'm writing this blog post series now because it has been asked from me so many times, so I decided to give in and finally do it. Here is my baby essential checklist. I had to divide it into five parts because otherwise, it would have been too massive. I hope that this list comes to use as it is based on my experiences with two children.

Tässä tämä nyt on. Vauvatarvikelista, jonka luulin, etten ikinä kirjoittaisi. Olen kuitenkin saanut niin paljon kyselyjä sellaisen perään, että ajattelin jakaa omia kokemuksia tarvittavista tarvekkeista. Olen jakanut listan viiteen kategoriaan koska tarvikkeita on yllättävän paljon, kun niitä rupeaa miettimään. Toivon, että listasta on hyötyä koska se perustuu kokemuksiini kahden lapsen äitinä.

When it comes to eating, there is a wide range of items that one can get for a baby. Here are the ones you will find in our home.

Mitä tulee syömiseen, niin vauvatarvikkeita riittää. Nämä ovat kuitenkin ne, jotka ovat löytäneet tiensä meidän kotiin.

High chair > Norwegian Stokke (Tripptrapp): we love the newborn part and the fact that this is the only high chair that makes the baby feel included at the table from the start, and also the fact that the chair grows with the child! We found our second hand. With our girl, we had an Ikea Antilop high chair. It was also good, but we decided to change the chair because of the earlier mentioned features, and also because the Stokke chair offers leg support for the child.

Syöttötuoli > Norjalainen Stokke (Tripptrapp): rakastamme tuolin newborn -osaa, joka saa vauvan heti tuntemaan itsensä osaksi perhettä koska on jo vastasyntyneenä samalla tasolla kuin muu perhe ruokapöydän äärellä. Pidämme myös siitä, että tuoli kasvaa lapsen kanssa. Löysimme omamme käytettynä. Tyttäremme kanssa meillä oli Ikean Antilop -syöttötuoli. Sekin oli hyvä, mutta suosimme Stokkea koska se tarjoaa yllämainittujen seikkojen lisäksi myös jalkatuen lapselle.

Baby bottles > Swedish Twistshake: we love the anti-colic series, these have been my son's favorite bottles! With our daughter, I didn't know about Twistshake so we used Ainu MAM baby bottles. Also good, but my son prefers Twistshake's bottles.

Tuttipullot > Ruotsalinen Twistshake: rakastamme kyseisen merkin anti-colic -pullosarjaa, nämä tuttipullot ovat olleet poikani suosikkeja! Kun tyttömme oli vauva, en tiennyt Twistshakesta mitään, joten käytimme Ainu MAM -tuttupulloja. Ne olivat myös hyviä, mutta poikani on suosinut Twistshaken pulloja.

Dishes, cutlery, placemat, feeder & pouch tops > Twistshake plates & sippy cup & straw cup, Danish Design letters dishes & mugs, Swedish Rätt Start (Moomin) cutlery, and Finnish Arabia, Iittala and Muurla Moomin for when the baby is able to eat from porcelain and enamel dishes. The pouch tops that we have got are from American ChooMee. Our placemat is Ezpz by Stokke. Our feeder is from Finnish Emma. With our daughter, we used a straw cup that was a combination of Ainu MAM handles and Philips Avent cup = not very handy, but it was the best solution that was available then.

Astiat, aterimet, ruokailualusta, syömäapu ja imukorkit > Twistshake (lautaset & nokka- ja pillimuki), tanskalainen Design letters (lautaset ja mukit), ruotsalainen Rätt Start (Muumi) aterimet, ja kotimaiset Arabia, Iittala ja Muurla mitä tulee posliini- ja emaliastioihin. Smoothien imukorkit ovat amerikkalaisen ChooMeen. Ruokailualusta on Ezpz by Stokken. Syömäapu on Emman. Tyttäremme kanssa käytimme yhdistelmämukia: Ainu MAM -kahvat yhdistimme Philips Avent -mukiin = ei ollut maailman kätevin yhdistelmä, mutta siihen aikaan mielestämme paras.

Bibs > The soft one is from our 2nd maternity package and the firm one we have is from Swedish Baby Björn. For baby-led weaning, starting from 6 months, we also have the bib & tray kit from British Tidy Tot ready for use. With our daughter, we used Ikea's Kladdig long-sleeved bibs.

Ruokalaput > Pehmeä ruokalappu on äitiyspakkauksestamme, ja kovempi ruokalappu on ruotsalaiselta Baby Björnilta. Sormiruokailua (6kk eteenpäin) varten meillä on brittiläisen Tidy Totin ruokalappu & tarjotin -yhdistelmä valmiina. Tyttäremme kanssa käytimme Ikean Kladdig -hihallisia ruokalappuja.
