Life is like cotton. Don't make it heavier by dipping in the sorrow of water. But make it lighter by blowing in the joy of air.
I started dreaming about spring interior novelties already back in March, as you might remember from this earlier blog post with my spring interior wishlist. At that point, it was still difficult to talk about spring since the weather wasn't spring-like at all. Now, during this exceptional time, I feel it's been one of my favorite pastimes to think about our home and its interior decor. The weather is also supporting this thought.
For a couple of years now, I've been looking for the perfect cotton shaggy rug for our home because I've seen this type of rug in many Nordic interior magazines, and on Pinterest, and I instantly thought that one would perfectly fit into our home. The monochromatic nomad rug that we had before served us well, but lately, I started thinking that I would prefer a rug made of natural material - in this case, cotton. As we're expecting a baby, I thought that this would be a good time to invest in the rug. Already with my daughter's birth back in 2016, I noticed how much time we daily spent playing on the floor, so this is the ideal time to introduce this Nordic interior essential to our home. I think this rug combines all our furniture and makes the room look a lot cozier and welcoming.

The cotton shaggy rug in our home is from Finnish Anno Collection and it's called Rae. It's hand-made in India. The lively surface and the big tassels make the rug an eye-catcher in the home!
Have you seen cotton shaggy rugs like this before? What do you think about them? Yay or nay?
Oletko törmännyt vastaaviin puuvillanukkamattoihin? Mitä mieltä olet niistä? Hyvä vai huono?
They do look nice.
