I think the Christmas season is an excellent occasion to gaze forward and have a look at next spring's color trends! Usually, I've done this already in September when we have the biggest interior design fair in Finland, but this year, as I got married during the same week as the event - my blog has naturally introduced posts related to the wedding before next year's fashion & interior color trends.

Mielestäni joulun odotusaika on oivallinen hetki pysähtyä ensi vuoden suunnitteluun - tässä tapauksessa tarkoitan, että viimeistään nyt kannattaa tutustua ensi kevään muoti- ja sisustustrendiväreihin! Yleensä olen kertonut väreistä jo syyskuussa, mutta koska menin tänä vuonna naimisiin kyseisen kuukauden aikana, niin luonnollisesti blogini on ensin ollut hääpainotteinen - ja nyt on ensi vuoden trendien aika. 

Next year's color palette is more mindful and lifestyle-based than it has been during earlier years. Home life, mental demands, and digital engagement are all visible in the trends. Ensi vuoden väripaletti on hieman huomaavaisempi ja lifestyle-painotteisempi kuin mitä se on ollut aikaisempina vuosina. Kotielämä, henkiset vaatimukset ja digikäyttäytyminen näkyvät trendeissä. Corals / Koralli

I would suggest that next spring's boldest color is Pantone's Living Coral. Pantone describes it as "an affable and animating shade whose golden undertone gives it a softer edge." Earlier years, I've combined coral with mint (2013) & grey color (2014) - I think they both work, but maybe corals & greens will be my choice next spring! Let the flamingos take over the streets!

Mielestäni ensi kevään voimakkain väri on Patnonen Living Coral, eli koralli. Pantone kuvailee väriä rakastettavana ja elävänä. Väristä löytyy myös kultainen pohjasävy, joka antaa värille pehmeämmän tunteen. Aikaisempina vuosina, olen yhdistänyt värin mintun (2013) ja harmaan värin kanssa (2014) - molemmat toimivat, mutta ehkä tulen ensi keväänä yhdistelemään korallia eri vihreiden sävyjen kanssa! Flamingot kadulle!

Greens / Vihreän sävyt

According to Elle Décor, deep greens are inspired by (but not directly reflective of) nature and next spring they will bring the healing properties of the outdoors into the home, without feeling overly arboreal. Out of Pantone's color trends Pepper Stem, "the zesty yellow-green color that encourages our desire for nature’s healthy bounty" and Terrarium Moss "that conjures up thoughts of flourishing foliage and the physical beauty in the natural world" are showcasing how to use green next spring.

Elle Decorin mukaan syvät vihreät sävyt ovat saaneet innoituksensa luonnosta ja ensi keväänä tuodaan aikaisempaa enemmän luontoa kotiin ja vaatetukseen. Pantonen värisävyistä keltavihreä Pepper Stem ja sammalvärinen Terrarium Moss tukevat myös tätä ajatusta.

Browns / Ruskean sävyt

According to Elle Décor again, the minimalist movement has encouraged many modern homemakers to live a more clutter free, thoughtful life. With this, shades associated with minimalism–creams, beiges, and whites–are being incorporated into many home palettes. Cream shades with bolder, more colorful undertones are desired for their inherent simplicity that can be manipulated with different types of lighting. Next spring, we'll see shades of honey, sandy, cream and toffee being used in fashion and interior. Pantone's color trend Toffee is "deliciously irresistible and tasteful" whereas subtle Soybean "naturally appeals as a reliable and versatile neutral".

Elle Décor jatkaa, ja kertoo, että ensi keväänä minimalistiset värit - kerma, beige ja valkoisen sävyt ovat suosittuja. Nämä linkittyvät tosin ruskean erilaisiin sävyihin: tulemme näkemään hunajan, hiekan, kerman, toffeen ja soijapavun sävyjä niin sisustuksissa kuin vaatteissa.
