To continue on my previous blog post, here are the rest of the 8 out of 15 details from our special day that took place four weeks ago! Most of the photos of this blog post were taken by our talented wedding photographer Niki Strbian.

Jatkaakseni edellistä blogikirjoitustani, niin esittelen tässä kirjoituksessa loput 8 yksityiskohtaa 15 yksityiskohdasta häissämme! Suurin osa blogikirjoituksen kuvista ovat taitavan hää- ja perhevalokuvaajan Niki Strbianin käsialaa. 

Program / Ohjelma

As we didn't have a seated dinner during our wedding party, we didn't want to have the program on the tables. We wanted a simple and elegant A4 size design, with symbols. Our beautiful program signs were designed by Finnish MinäIte. We placed the program in many different places, but it was mainly on glass doors and walls for guests to read.

Koska meillä ei ollut istuvaa illallista hääjuhlamme aikana, niin emme halunneet ohjelmaa, joka olisi ollut pöydillä nähtävissä. Näin ollen päädyimme yksinkertaiseen ja eleganttiin A4-kokoiseen versioon, jossa oli symbooleita. Ohjelman suunnitteli kotimainen MinäIte. Ohjelma oli nähtävissä juhlissa monessa paikassa, mm. lasiovissa ja seinillä.

Wedding arch / Vihkikaari

One of my first ideas for the wedding was actually the wedding arch. It was a detail that I really liked, and it turned out exactly as I had wished for. It really made our intimate seaside venue feel like a wedding venue. I found the arch at Finnish Hobby Hall, and decorated it with artificial silk flowers, mainly found at Finnish Etola & Maison Helsinki and a boho cotton rope heart tassel background curtain that I found second hand on Etsy (similar here).

Yksi ensimmäisistä hääideoistani oli juuri vihkikaari. Ajattelin sen olevan tärkeä yksityiskohta juhlissa, ja omasta mielestäni se olikin. Se sai hääjuhlapaikamme tuntumaan vihkimispaikalta. Löysin kaaren Hobby Hallista, ja koristelin sen pääasiassa Etolan ja Maison Helsingin silkkikukilla, sekä Etsystä löytämäni boho -naruverholla (samantyyppisiä löytyy täältä).

Memorial table & memorial wedding bouquet jewelry / Muistopöytä & muistohääkukkakimppukoru

From the beginning of our wedding planning, we knew that we wanted my beloved passed parents and my husband's passed father to be visible at the venue, as they were also present in our hearts. As we didn't have seated rows during the wedding ceremony, we decided on a memorial table. We had on display white infinity roses, photos, a candle and a table sign saying "In loving memory of those who are forever present in our hearts. We know you would be here today if heaven wasn't so far away."

Jo hääsuunnittelun alussa tiesimme, että halusimme rakkaat edesmenneet vanhempani ja mieheni edesmenneen isän olevan näkyvästi esillä juhlissa. Koska meillä ei ollut tuoleja käytössä vihkimisen aikana, niin päätimme tehdä tehdän kunniakseen muistopöydän. Pöydällä oli valkoisia ruusuja, valokuvia, kynttilä ja muistokyltti, jossa luki "In loving memory of those who are forever present in our hearts. We know you would be here today if heaven wasn't so far away." 

One of my dear friends happily surprised me during the wedding planning phase, when she told me that she wanted to give me as a wedding present a silk memorial wedding bouquet jewelry piece. I had already decided at that point that I wanted some form of memorial wedding bouquet jewelry, so it was perfect! As my beloved passed mother was a true fan of butterflies, I thought it was nothing less than perfect that the jewelry piece had the form of one! This way, my parents did walk me down the aisle, and I truly could feel their presence. The jewelry piece was found on Etsy, and it was made by British flutter2me. Now, the piece is a decoration item in my walk-in closet and brings me joy me every day.

Yksi rakas ystäväni yllätti minut positiivisesti hääsuunnitteluvaiheessa, kun hän ehdotti, että antaisi minulle häälahjaksi muistohääkukkakimppukorun. Olin tässä vaiheessa jo päättänyt, että halusin muistohääkukkakimppukorun, joten ajoitus oli täydellinen! Koska rakas edesmennyt äitini rakasti perhosia, niin mielestäni perhosen muotoinen silkkikoru oli täydellinen! Näin vanhempani saattoivat minut vihkikaarelle, ja tunsin heidän läsnäolon koko ajan. Koru löytyi Etsyn kautta, ja se on brittiläisen flutter2me:n tekemä. Nyt koru löytyy vaatekaapistani, jossa se ilahduttaa minua joka päivä.

Drop top guest book / Drop top -vieraskirja

Already in the beginning of our wedding planning, we knew that we didn't want a traditional guest book. I came up with the idea to look for something that could relate to our new last name Rundlöf (round leaf in Swedish), and when I found this beautiful leaf drop top guest book, I fell for it immediately! I found it on Etsy, and it was made by British Zoe Gibbons Studio. Zoe made it in natural wooden color, and I painted the frame and its leaves white so it would match our wedding, and later even our home decor. Now, it's an interior design piece in our home and reminds us of our special day!

Jo hääsuunnittelun alkuvaiheessa tiesimme, ettemme halunneet perinteistä vieraskirjaa. Keksin etsiä lehtiaiheisia vieraskirjoja (koska nykyään koko perheen sukunimi on Rundlöf), ja kun löysin tämän kauniin drop top -vieraskirjan, niin ihastuin siihen heti! Löysin sen Etsystä, ja se on brittiläisen Zoe Gibbons Studion tekemä. Zoe teki sen puunvärisenä, ja maalasin itse kehyksen ja lehdet valkoisiksi, jotta sopisivat häihin, mutta myös myöhemmin kotiimme. Nykyään vieraskirja on sisustuselementti kotonamme ja se muistuttaa meitä joka päivä tärkeästä päivästämme!

Wine glasses & wine glass charms / Viinilasit & viinilasikorut

Maybe a very little detail, but I liked it so much that I thought that I would mention it. An easy way to personalize wine glasses is to add charms to them. We had 50 different with a sea theme (found on Etsy), and I found transparent hair elastic bands from Finnish Hiuskorut. Our wedding couple wine glasses were Libbey Hobstars bought at Stockmann. We have other Hobstar drinking glasses at home already, so this was a natural choice for us.

Ehkä hyvin pieni yksityiskohta, mutta itse pidin siitä niin paljon, että ajattelin mainita sen. Hääjuhlien viinilasit saa helposti omannäköiseksi viinilasikoruilla. Löysin 50 erilaista meriaiheista korua Etsystä, ja yhdistin ne laseihin pienillä kirkkailla hiuslenkeillä, joita löysin Hiuskorut.comista. Hääparin viinilasit olivat Stockmannilta, Libbey Hobstarsit. Hobstar -juomalaseja meillä on muutenkin kotona, joten tämä oli periaatteessa lasiperheen lisä.

Cake & cake topper / Kakku- ja kakkukoriste

I couldn't have been happier with our semi naked wedding cake! It came from a local cake shop named Tårta på Tårta, which service was prime quality! We chose the filling (champagne/blueberry) for the cake at the cake shop's tasting event, which was held in a local café - what a great idea! We loved how the cake tasted & looked, simply amazing! The cake artist Sanna even had time to decorate the cake with the same flower decorations that we had elsewhere at the wedding, I think it made all the difference! Our family cake topper was found on Etsy, you can find plenty of different ones there!

En olisi voinut olla tyytyväisempi kakkuumme! Kakku tuli Tårta på Tårta -konditorialta, jonka palvelu oli ensiluokkainen! Valitsimme kakkumakupariksi samppanjan ja mustikan, taas teemavärien mukaan. Päädyimme tähän makuyhdistelmään konditorian kakkutasting -tilaisuudessa, joka järjestettiin yhdessä kahvilassa - aivan ihana idea! Pidimme kovasti niin kakun ulkonäöstä kuin mausta, kakku oli kerrassaan täydellinen! Kakkutaiteilija Sanna ehti jopa koristaa kakumme samoilla kukilla, joita löytyi muutenkin hääjuhlasta! Mielestäni se oli piste i:n päällä! Perhekakkukoristeemme löytyi Etsystä, löydät lukuisia vastaavia sieltä!

Card hat box / Korttihatturasia

I'm a huge fan of boxes, and hat boxes are no exception! I also love suitcases, and I actually had three of them from before in my walk-in closet. Now I kind of have four, as our wedding cards & memories were placed in this vintage navy hat box that I found second hand on Huuto.net!

Olen suuri rasioiden, laatikoiden ja purkkien ystävä, ja hatturasiat eivät myöskään ole poikkeus! Rakastan matkalaukkuja, ja minulla olikin jo entuudestaan kolme vanhaa matkalaukkua vaatehuoneessani. Nyt voi sanoa, että minulla on niitä neljä, koska päätimme hankkia tämän vintage hatturasian (Huuto.netistä) kortteja varten! Rasiassa säilytämme kortit, mutta myös muita rakkaita häämuistoja.

Wedding favors / Vieraslahjat

Our wedding favors were a mix of all our themes: they included "let our love grow"-themed eco paper heart-shaped seed confettis (that could be planted afterwards, and from which seven different wild flowers can grow) from Finnish Helpoin tapa istuttaa, sea-themed seashell-shaped soaps from American Amazon, white fabric rose petals from Finnish Juhlamaailma, white wooden anchors from Kenian Jumia, theme color confetti from Etsy, navy blue love poem heart-shaped origamis from Etsy, and Italian chocolate candies from Finnish Italian herkut. The white wedding favor boxes were found at Finnish Decora House.

Vieraslahjoissamme yhdistyivät kaikki teemamme: ne sisälsivät "let our love grow"-teemalla kierrätyspaperista valmistettuja ja villikukkien siemeniä sisältäviä eko-konfetteja (jotka olivat Helpoin tapa istuttaa -verkkokaupasta), simpukkasaippuoita (Amazonista), valkoisia ruusunkangasterälehtiä (Juhlamaailmasta), valkoisia puisia ankkureita (Jumiasta), teemavärikonfetteja (Etsystä), tummansinisiä rakkausrunoja sisältäviä sydämenmuotoisia origameja (Etsystä), ja italialaisia suklaaherkkuja (Italian herkuista). Valkoiset vieraslahjalaatikot olivat Decora Housen.
