Nordic playlist 4/2015

Helsinki, 10 degrees

One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.

Lately, I've been really impressed by the Nordic music that I've heard! It's no secret that my current favorite Finnish music artist is Kasmir, whose gig I went to about three weeks ago (as seen on my Instagram account - the photo above). He sings in Finnish though, so in this blog post I also wanted to present a Finnish band that sings in English, Satin Circus that is. They actually tried to represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest as well, but unfortunately, didn't make it to the actual song contest. They were, actually, my favorite among the alternatives. In this blog post, I also wanted to present Swedish and Norwegian songs that I like right now.

Finland
Kasmir - Iholla

and/or in English:

Finland
Satin Circus - Crossroads

Sweden
Seinabo Sey - Younger

Norway
Kygo - Stole the show

What are your favorite songs right now? What kind of music do you like?

Mitkä ovat sinun suosikkikappaleet tällä hetkellä? Minkälaista musiikkia kuuntelet?

What's your opinion?

  1. I like the Love Me Like You Do song by Ellie Goulding

  2. Oh no, it didn't make to the Eurovision, this is bad, cause I loved the song! I am so glad you showed these songs here - I didn't know about Satin Circus and I simply loved the band! That's the kind of beat I like to listen to, but I also like classical music a lot. I still remember when Lordi Eurovision award, a Finnish band!
