Pisama Design

Helsinki, 8 degrees

There is always something special about the trams, may be because they are like our lives: They appear from nothingness and disappear in the horizon of the crowds.

This week I was happily pampered by Finnish design company Pisama Design, as I received a girl's best friend - a bag - from them this week. I have drooled over these bags for a long time, since I as a genuine tram girl, find them lovely. Trams are such a characteristic feature of my city Helsinki, and it's by far my favorite mean of transport! Actually, if I can choose between tram or bus - I always pick a tram. Why? Well, I always explain that Helsinki is a relaxed city even though it's a capital city so we Helsinkians actually enjoy watching the city buzz around us while traveling with trams. It's not always about the final destination, but often about the journey itself.

Tällä viikolla minua on hemmoteltu - vastaanotin blogiyhteistyön merkeissä kotimaisen designyritys Pisama Designin laukun.

So you can imagine how excited I was when I opened my package and saw a bag with trams on it! The words mentioned on the bag are the names of districts of Helsinki. Each district has its unique personality. I styled Pisama Design's Denim Lady bag that has the so called tram pattern with some of my favorite clothing items right now. Last week I found this lovely white lace top that I combined with a white pencil skirt.

Tämän kerrottua, voitte kuvitella miten innoissani olin kun avasin pakettini ja nän Pisama Designin Tram-kuosisen Denim Lady mallisen laukkuni! Mielestäni eri kaupunginosien nimet laukussa kertovat erilaisia tarinoita, koska Helsingin jokaisella kaupunginosalla on oma tarina kerrottavana. Käytin laukkua tämän hetkisten suosikkivaatekappaleideni kanssa. Valkoinen asukokonaisuus koostui kuviokynähameesta ja pitsitopista.

The brand name Pisama Design stands in Finnish for freckles that are according to the company the unique pattern of each and everyone of us. I'm happy to notice that my freckles are returning, a clear sign of summer! Summer, as life in general, is all about stories. We create them all the time. That is why I had to of course take out my new Pisama Design bag on a spin around the city and create new stories and memories with it. Me and my friend headed to one of Helsinki's most hip restaurants right now - Bronda. It was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed it most definitely! I can highly recommend it!

Kesä, kuten elämä yleensäkin, on täynnä tarinoita. Luomme jatkuvasti uusia tarinoita.

It wouldn't have been such a perfect evening if I wouldn't have felt so good thanks to my new bag! Many people asked me about it since its pattern is so recognizable. If you feel the same way about Pisama Design's bag as I do, I have good news for you! If you order a product from Pisama Design's webshop before the 31st of May, you get another product (a print worth €15) for free! All you need to do is to email Pisama Design as they don't have their webshop yet in English. Just place your order and tell them which print (three options: Headwing, Tram or Hymy) you would like for free. You can the prints here. If you know of friends who would like Pisama Design's products, please provide Pisama Design with two email addresses of friends as well.

Pisama Designin uudessa verkkokaupassa asiakas saa kaupan päälle valitsemansa printin tilatessaan ennen loppukuuta! Printissä (Headwing, Tram tai Hymy) on kyse ihan tuotteesta. 15€:n arvoinen printti on painotuote, jossa koko kuosi saa pääosan ja sen kääntöpuolelta löytyy kuosin tarina. Tuotteen voi viimeistellä haluamillaan kehyksillä. Pääsette katsomaan printtivaihtoehtoja täältä. Tässä alla näette vielä edun ehdot.

What do you think of recycle fashion? What do you think of Pisama Design's products?

Mitä mieltä olette kierrätysmuodista? Ovatko Pisama Designin tuotteet teille entuudestaan tuttuja?
