Illustration inspiration: Thomas Lamadieu

Helsinki, 18 degrees

Nature is a mutable cloud which is always and never the same.

Lately, I've been wildly inspired by nature. This week we've had almost 20 degrees in Helsinki, and it's been amazing! I've had the chance to experience stunning sceneries here in Helsinki as I've visited a hotel located in Eastern Helsinki close to the beautiful sea and a restaurant located on an island in front of the city center. But most of all I've been caught by the sky. Do you ever look up at the sky and start to daydream? I don't know about you, but I could watch cloud formations forever..

Some time ago I found a cute article in the Finnish City magazine that told about French artist Thomas Lamadieu's art work. He chooses urban sky scenes and draws figures in them. This got my imagination galloping. It's amazing how the sky can make us think of so many different things.

It would be fun to see similar photos of Helsinki! Maybe I'll try that one day.

This article got me thinking about cloud formations, which I love so much. If you're a cloud lover as I am, you might also enjoy my earlier blog post, where I introduce cloud-related drinks, desserts, and fondue!

I find it very therapeutic to look up at the skies, how about you?

What is the most interesting cloud formation you've seen?

I can't put my finger on what it is in clouds that fascinates me so much, but it seems like I can't get enough of them. Maybe it's the fact that they keep on changing. Maybe that makes them interesting. What do you think?

I found some cute cloud related items on Etsy that I wanted to share with you.

  3. that art sure is pretty amazing and in addition to photography I like special art just like this one. something unexpected and different. gosh and those photos of clouds are crazy cool and I just thought it would be so fun to search for interesting shapes in the sky and photograph those. I should definitely do that someday! even though I don't actually have a very special relationship with clouds.
by the way, when it comes to TV shows my favourites are The Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars, The Lying Game, 90210, Switched at Birth, Beauty and the Beast, Bunheads, The Walking Dead, Revenge.. yeah, I know I'm crazy but I really love my shows. and most of those I only watch while working out so I think it's okay then ;) which ones do you watch?
