Post-vacation work

Helsinki, 20 degrees

Being back at work stands for me among other things presentations about Helsinki. Yesterday I held a presentation for 80 Korean students that will be on study exchange here. This is how the presentation looked like! It's so easy to talk about Helsinki as a relaxed, inspiring and fun place thanks to the fact that that is truly what it is!

No woman or man needs a vacation so much as the person who has just had one!

After being on vacation, and spending a lot of time relaxing in tranquility, it's always exciting getting back to the busy city life Helsinki has during August. August is one of our most busy months, and this summer we just might have a record concerning visitors, yey!

The first two days back at the office I got to spend still in quite quiet surroundings as I helped in planning programs for journalists visiting Helsinki, but since today I'm back at the Tourist Information which gets busy with its 2 000 - 2 500 clients per day! I must say that my wonderful colleagues and the clients made my day perfect - it felt homey being back after doing other work duties for six months (the brochure I helped realize that I've mentioned in my blog post here and here, and assisting in planning journalist visits that I've mentioned in my earlier blog post here, here and here), and every client was super nice to me! I feel lucky by having tourists as my clients since working with them is a true everyday culture exchange and one learns something new every day!

I just have to share with you also the article that the Italian journalist of Marie Claire made about Helsinki! I'm so proud of it! I had the pleasure to meet her for dinner and help her with giving information about the city when she was visiting Helsinki!

Isn't it amazing??
