Snowy silence

Helsinki,- 16 degrees

I started my wintry Saturday by taking a walk to the city center...


..to see the contruction work area of a new chapel opening in the very heart of the commercial center of Helsinki in May. This weekend we are celebrating a weekend dedicated to design and therefore it was possible to see this building even before its grand opening. The pictures that you will see are therefore like I said of a contruction work area and do not show how the final building will look like. But if you are curious, have a look!

This is how they imagine that the building will look like in its surrounding, just next to the biggest shopping center in Helsinki called Kamppi.

And this is how it looked today in snowy Helsinki...



I thought it was a cute idea that the contruction wall has some mail boxes to which you can send mail with "hassut haaveet"= funny dreams, "huolet ja murheet"=concerns and agonies.



Incredible to think that all this will look like this in May...
